Our Bar Harbor motel has clean, comfortable and quiet rooms on Lower Main Street in the beautiful coastal village of Bar Harbor Maine. Our grounds, historically known as the Victory Gardens, have beautifully arranged flowering gardens and planters which add to the peaceful country setting, a hallmark of our establishment. Our property is situated along the pebbled Cromwell Brook, fed by the Acadian mountain range. We are a short walk to the famous waters of Frenchman Bay where Explorer Samuel De Champlain first stepped ashore onto Mount Desert Island in 1604.
This property has it own unique history. The grounds were once the gardens for the family of Thomas Scott, of the Pennsylvania Railroad. The estate was named Chiltern. After WW2 some of the garden area was opened to.
We have a variety of spacious air-conditioned rooms to choose from in four different buildings and have ample parking. You will appreciate the amenities, heated outdoor pool, flowered grounds, and the smell of the ocean air.
Our motel rates vary with the season beginning mid-May and ending in Late October. It is best to book ahead when possible, especially during peak season. Be sure to read our policies. Feel free to ask any questions about them.
